When President Donald Trump was sworn into office, all of the living former presidents and first ladies — save George H.W. Bush and Barbara, for health reasons — were in attendance, as tradition has dictated over the years.
During a recent appearance to tout her 2016 election blame-spreading book “What Happened?” on the BBC’s “The Graham Norton Show,” failed Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton revealed that she and former President Bill Clinton initially tried to avoid attending the historical event, but nevertheless showed up when they found everyone else would be going, according to Fox News.
“We thought, maybe others aren’t going. So we called the Bushes, and the elder Bushes were in the hospital, which I think was legitimate,” Clinton said to laughs from the crowd, as if joking about a former president possibly dying from pneumonia was a humorous thing.
“We call the younger Bushes, and they said, ‘Yeah, we’re going.’ We then call the Carters and they said, ‘Yeah, we’re going.’ So Bill and I looked at each other and said, ‘Well, we gotta go.’ Ugh, my gosh!” Clinton said.
According to the Washington Examiner, Clinton decried Trump’s inaugural address as a “dark, divisive speech” that she labeled as a “cry from the white nationalist gut.”
“I try to describe in the book what that felt like, because I didn’t know what to expect,” she said of Trump’s speech. “What I wanted to have happen was, despite the kind of campaign he ran, I wanted him to rise to the occasion of being our president and being the president for everybody, not just people who supported him.”
“That didn’t happen,” she added, except that it did in the minds of many Americans who have felt forgotten. She was too consumed in her hatred of Trump to hear the powerful and heartfelt “America First” speech that so many had been waiting so long to hear.
Fox also reported that Clinton seemingly threw fellow attendee and former President George W. Bush under the bus in the interview, attributing a swear word to him as how he described Trump’s inaugural address.
“And it was reported that George W. Bush, as it ends, says, ‘That was some weird s***,’” she said with a laugh, to which Norton replied, “And it was.”
You can watch the segment right here, curse word and all:
This overly entitled woman ran arguably the worst presidential campaign ever, and when she was beaten fair and square, initially sought to sit at home pouting on inauguration day instead of standing up alongside her rival for the sake of tradition and continuity, and was seemingly only guilted into doing so by the other former presidential couples.
This woman still can’t accept the fact that she lost, and is now making unseemly jokes about the health of a former president, throwing long-standing tradition by the wayside and degrading a sitting president on the international stage, something that heretofore would have been unheard of.
Just go home and be quiet, Hillary. We’ve all heard just about enough from you already.
