Fox News’ Sean Hannity has said that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should either get busy on the tax reform or retire, via insider.foxnews.com.
Hannity lost it when he heard the Kentucky Republican say that tax reform might have to wait until 2018.
Sean reminded McConnell of his comment about Trump that the President has “not [having] been in this line of work before.”
“[Trump] had excessive expectations about how quickly things happen [when he made his campaign promises],” said McConnell last month.
“That’s the swamp, that’s the sewer,” Hannity said.
Hannity described Mitch’s actions as “pathetic, inexcusable and unacceptable.”
“If you don’t get the urgency to work for the American people and don’t pass tax reform by the end of this year you need to resign,” he added.
“The only thing this guy does is come up with excuse after excuse after excuse as to why he can’t keep the simple promises that he and others made to you, the American people,”Hannity said.
Hannity said that McConnell has whined for years regarding ObamaCare and that when the time finally came to repeal ACA, he blew it.
He added that the likelihood of the tax measure not being attended to until 2018 is “beyond unacceptable,” and it is a clear indication of why McConnell has a “pathetic 18 percent approval rating in his home state of Kentucky.”
“McConnell is not leading, he’s not getting the job done,” he said. “So Senator, if you don’t want to roll up your sleeves, if you don’t want to get to work on passing the agenda you promised, the president promised, then maybe it’s time to call it a career.”
“Get out of the way. Let someone else who actually cares about keeping their promises to the American people, let them step up, let them start passing legislation.”
