Tucker Carlson on Friday weighed in on the boiling feud between White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.), calling out allegations that Kelly’s recent comments were racist.
The Fox News host first slammed Wilson for “bragging with characteristic immodesty” that she had “become a rock star” after the White House responded to a fallen soldier’s widow who felt President Donald Trump was insensitive during a recent phone call.
Carlson then mocked the Florida representative’s allegation that Kelly’s “empty barrel” attack had racists undertones, calling it “another disgraced politician alleging yet more fake bias crimes to hide her own failures.”
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell and Joy Reid echoed Wilson’s claims, which Carlson called “grotesque” Friday night.
Wow. @Lawrence scorched General Kelly tonight, including calling out his segregated Boston upbringing and dehumanization of a black woman.

“According to Joy Reid, the problem isn’t just General Kelly. It’s the Irish, they’re the problem,” he added.
“The morons making the arguments are sick,” Carlson added. “It’s a symptom of disease to imagine racism behind every disagreement. It’s also, by the way, the death of traditional political debate.”
