After all this time when Democrats and their crooked media accused President Trump of colluding with the Russians in order to win the presidency, now another Russia-related scandal has erupted. This time too, Trump has nothing to do with it. But guess who has? Hillary Clinton might be under investigation for her role in the developing Uranium bribery scheme with Russia.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions confirmed to Senator and Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) that the Department of Justice will investigate Hillary Clinton’s role in the transaction.
The scope of the probe would be to investigate potential “conflicts of interest” for Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration regarding the 2010 approval of a controversial uranium deal with a Russian company, as new details about donations from “interested parties” and an FBI corruption probe involving employees of the same Russian firm has emerged.
“This committee has an obligation to get to the bottom of this issue,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said Wednesday, at the start of a hearing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Asked about the concerns at Wednesday’s hearing, Sessions told Grassley the Justice Department will take “appropriate” actions, reports Red State Watcher.
“I hear your concerns and they will be reviewed,” Sessions said.
In a formal letter, Grassley asked Victoria Toensing, the lawyer representing the former FBI informant, to allow her client, who says he worked as a voluntary informant for the FBI, to be allowed to testify about the “crucial” eyewitness testimony he provided to the FBI regarding members of the Russian subsidiary and other connected players from 2009 until the FBI’s prosecution of the defendants in 2014.
Toensing said her client was blocked by the Obama Justice Department and Attorney General Loretta Lynch about testifying to Congress. He reportedly has pertinent information that the Russian’s were attempting to gain access to former President Bill Clinton and his wife, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to influence the Obama administration’s decision on the purchase of Uranium One.
The Obama administration threatened the FBI informant for speaking out about the corruption he witnessed.
Toensing said her client “is not only afraid of the Russian people, but he is afraid of the US government because of the threats the Obama administration made against him.”
